The J.B. SHAH GIRLS P.G. College was established by the "Madan Lal Shah Education Society" in 1982. The college was established by the late patriarch Sh. Madan Lal Shah, a (retired) lawyer to promote women education in rural and semi urban areas in and around Jhunjhunu. Till date, >>>>>>> girls have been educated at the college.
Initially, the college began as an undergraduate college, but upgraded to a post graduate level in 1989. The college has the rare distinction of being the first college in Shekhawati region to be accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC an independent council under U.G.C.). The college is proud to hold the certificate of ISO - 9001:2000 by INTERTEK - an international mark of quality management and excellence.
Nipha Charitable Trust
We all are well aware of the Aila cyclone that hit the Sunderbans and caused massive irreparable damage to the livelihood of locals there. Nipha, along with close friends and associates contributed generously towards the cause and ensured that we were able to reach the victims and help them in their hour of need. 18 visits were made and we were able to cater to 10 villages and reach out to around 20,000 villagers.
The highlights of our endeavour are as follows:
- Sustained relief for a period of 5 months
- 20,000 odd villagers received the aid in 10 odd villages
- The total collection from various sources including own contributions exceeded Rs. 25 lakhs
